Frequently Asked Questions

Is the calculator really free?

Yes. The full solar calculator, battery tool, and map estimator are completely free to embed on your WordPress site. No account required, no limits, no branding removal fees.

What does Pro add?

Pro adds lead capture. Visitors enter their name, email, and phone number before seeing their solar estimate. You receive an email notification with their contact details and full calculation results (system size, cost, savings, payback period).

Does the calculator update automatically?

Yes. The calculator runs on our servers via an iframe. When we update pricing data, add features, or fix bugs, your embedded calculator updates automatically — no plugin update needed.

Can I use my license key on multiple sites?

Yes. Your license key works on any site where you embed the calculator — WordPress, Odoo, custom HTML, etc. One key, unlimited embeds.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

Your calculator keeps working perfectly — only the lead capture gate is removed. Visitors will see their results immediately without entering contact details.

Which WordPress versions are supported?

The plugin requires WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4+. It is tested up to WordPress 6.7 and works with both the Classic Editor and the Gutenberg block editor.

Can I have multiple calculators on one page?

Yes. Use multiple shortcodes with different settings, e.g. [solar_estimator tools="calculator"] and [solar_estimator tools="map"]. Each inherits your global settings but can be overridden individually.

Can I customise which calculator sections are visible?

Yes. You can hide any combination of: location, roof orientation, battery storage, panel selector, advanced settings, and recommended setup. Use the "Hide Sections" option in Settings → Solar Estimator or the hide attribute on the shortcode.
